  • Data cleanup.  Does the data need some scrubbing?  No problem, we can program this in.  The result is clean, relevant data that can lead to insights that might otherwise get muddied in dirty data.

  • Analytical tools.  We use a variety of analytical techniques when working with your data.  We know the advanced techniques in Excel that most people never even touch.  We also go well beyond the advanced Excel techniques and get deep into the VBA programming underneath Excel, which allows us to work even faster and sharper with your data.

  • Problem solving.  Understanding the problem is half the battle.  Coming up with a solution and implementing it is the other half.  We stick with you as far as you want, until the problem is nailed down.  We can help you turn a weakness into a strength.

  • Handoff.  We can develop a process for your people to keep working on the problem and track their progress each month.  We use our Excel programming skills to develop reporting, with pivot table reports you can slice and dice and charting so you can get the big picture.  You don't have to be tied to us, but can use your people if you prefer while having us there at a higher level or for offsite on demand support.

  • Financial sense.  In addition to our skills working with data, we also have a good nose for working with financials and related data.  The financials and supporting schedules can give us great insights.  We know where to start looking, then where to dig deeper.

  • Working with your people.  Your people can make or break a project.  Your people can be a great resource to accelerate the solution.  They may even have some good ideas that could be pulled in.  We can work with them so they feel committed to the improvements and feel they are part of the process.  They can feel like a valued resource and not alienated, threatened or put down.  They can feel like winners and be even happier about working at your firm.

Here are a couple examples of how we have come in and helped improved profits at established firms:

  • A telecom company thought they had a bad debt problem.  We worked with the data warehouse staff and pulled in and cleaned up the data.  We then programmed the analysis, looking for trends in the results.  Based on that, we found that the problems was more than three times worse than they thought.  However, we did not stop there, but worked with their marketing and revenue assurance people, helping them drop these by about 90% and bring their results in line with their industry.

  • A health care services firm wanted to get a better handle on how they were serving their customers.  We worked with their technology people, got the data, and then programmed the analytics.  We showed them what services and what type of customers had the best savings and what other areas could stand some improvement.  The analysis also helped them show how much money they saved and use that to prospect with major potential customers.
