Here a just a few of many situations
where we had added value for clients. Each study shows how
we moved them ahead, like an oar would move a boat in a crew competition.
- Opportunity
- Action
- Result
Initial
Bank Loan - A real estate development company had put down
a deposit on some lots in a choice residential project in an attractive
neighborhood. They needed bank financing to complete the
purchases by the due date. The bank relationship would also
help them offer referral programs to residential buyers
This developer had an excellent reputation building individual
homes. This project represented the next step up for them
in their growth. (more

Bad
Debt Reduction - A telecom client had grown rapidly to over
$100 million in sales in under two years. The bad debt number
unfortunately was growing rapidly as well. With their revenue
assurance department very busy managing the demands of this growth,
they called us in to take a look at the situation and bring down
the number. (more info)
Fill
In As CFO - At a food manufacturer, both the Controller and
VP Finance found jobs closer to home after the plant had been
relocated. There was nobody on staff who could fill in.
They had to move quickly to fill the gap. The VP Finance
had left a month before and the Controller was leaving shortly.
They needed someone who could pick up on things quickly and carry
the ball for them. (more

Multiple Acquisitions - A pharmaceutical firm where we were
CFO had made a successful turnaround of its manufacturing operation
and was now looking for next steps to grow the business.
The industry was beginning to consolidate across channels, with
manufacturers and distributors joining together. The industry
was also growing rapidly and it would be difficult for any manufacturer
to keep up with all the product offerings that would come off
patent in the next several years. The distribution end of
the business was very fragmented at that time. (more

Rapid
Growth - A consumer products firm was growing rapidly but
not making money yet. We came on as head of finance and
operations, to be the inside person to add to their strengths
in sales/marketing, production and product development.

Turnaround - Manufacturing - A pharmaceutical firm was not
doing well after its first year of operating after the acquisition.
We were brought in by the investors as the CFO. (more

Turnaround - Health Care - A
health care services firm was in business for about 10 years and
was finally getting close to profitability, until reimbursement
rates got cut nearly 70%. We came in at this later stage
in an interim CFO role. (more
