Business & Technology Solutions Show

Each year in late August the Illinois CPA Society puts on an excellent Business & Technology Solutions show at the Rosemont Convention Center.  This year it will be August 24 and 25.  This show has two main parts:

• An exhibit hall where you can visit booths of various business, technology and accounting solutions.  This is free.

• Educational sessions on a wide range of topics.  These are for fee but very reasonably priced.

We have attended this show for several years and picked up a number of pointers that have made us more productive, saving hours of time each month.  Two years ago we learned about using a wireless modem and service to be able to stay connected to the Internet while on the road.  Last year we learned more about the tablet PCs.  We use both of these tools now in our work.

We will be part of this show in two ways this year.

• We will have a booth in the exhibit hall.  We will be located in the TMA (Turnaround Management Association) Mart which you can see on the right side of the floor plan.  Come by and say hello.  We would love to hear how you are doing and what challenges you are facing these days.  We will have new material to pass along for you at the show.

• We will be part of a mid-day keynote speech on the second day, Wednesday at 11:30.  The speaker will be Alex Goldfayn, who will talk about The Technology Tailor’s Top Tech Trends: What Late-Breaking Technology Developments Mean to You.  We will be mentioned by Alex in his talk as he demonstrates how people use technology in their life.
